Our Ocean Views Make It More than Home
We do everything possible to make our facility a comfortable, welcoming
place. That includes locating our Shorefront Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care facility next to the
boardwalk on the Atlantic Ocean so each resident can enjoy a stunning
view at every turn. Plus, every room is spacious enough so each resident
has the space to decorate and bring cherished items from home. Some residents
even have pet birds or fish (allowed on a case-by-case basis).
For efficient service, each floor has resident lounges, two nurses’ stations
and a spacious dining room. And since we’re on the beach, the dining
rooms (and many resident rooms) have spectacular ocean views.
Expertise, experience and compassion for your loved one
Shorefront is known for providing superior care, including many services
normally found only in hospitals. This high level of expertise makes
life more comfortable for your loved one because more testing can be done
on-site, eliminating many stressful trips to the hospital for tests and
procedures.
From help with the activities of daily living (such as dressing, bathing
and eating) to advanced medical testing and more, Shorefront offers a
complete range of care provided by skilled and dedicated staff, including:
- Doctors (on-site 24 hours a day)
- Registered nurses
- Physical, occupational and recreational therapists
- Speech pathologists
- Dietitians
- Social workers
- Audiologists
Caring for your loved one means caring for his or her traditions too
Culture and traditions are an important part of life and vital to good
health. That’s why we support our residents’ spiritual and
emotional needs in many ways:
- Delicious menus prepared to fit your dietary and nutritional needs
- Programs and activities in different languages
- A variety of religious services, including:
- Sabbath services weekly
- Catholic services every Sunday
- Monthly Mass
- Daily Minyanim
- Oneg Shabat
- Clergy available for other services upon request
And because we believe a healthy respect for culture and traditions means
happier patients and families, we offer culturally sensitive programs
and activities too. For example, we offer numerous clubs that cater to
varied interests and backgrounds, including women’s and men’s
clubs, as well as specialized cultural clubs for Russian residents.
From fitness classes to bingo, we cater to your diverse needs and languages.
We even have staff members who speak multiple languages and attend
diversity training.
More than a facility—a community
The mind and spirit need support to stay healthy, too, and we offer a
variety of activities and entertainment to encourage participation,
learning and a sense of community. Examples include gardening and
craft classes, a drama club, games (such as bingo, Scrabble® and Pokino),
birthday parties, holiday celebrations, concerts, trips to the movies
and more!
